This calculator assumes charges of 5% bid/offer spread and 1%pa fund charge.
Real Growth is the difference between actual growth and actual inflation. If you expect long term inflation to be 3%, and long term growth to be 7% then enter 4. 2-4 is considered reasonable, and 5 should be considered a maximum for any serious planning (and that only if equity funds will be used).
