Why use an Independent Financial Adviser?

Nigel Bourke & Co can transact business on an Advisory Basis or Execution Only. Before we can act on an advisory basis and give you our recommendations, we need detailed information about your personal and financial circumstances together with an indication of your objectives, needs and attitude to risk. We will normally obtain this information by the completion of a fact finding questionnaire which we must have before we can give you any advice. Your enquiry will then be dealt with by one of our experienced advisers and we would normally retain any commission generated for the advice unless it has been agreed to be transacted on a fee basis from the outset.

Execution Only

An Execution Only transaction means that we have not given you nor have you sought any advice from us regarding the suitability of an investment for your circumstances. This also avoids the need for you to provide us with the detailed information relating to your personal and financial circumstances. As a consequence, you may not have the full protection provided by the Financial Services Authority. However, we can provide you with factual and generic information if requested as such enquiries are normally dealt with by our administrative staff who are not authorised to give advice.

We will normally rebate the majority of our commission to the investor if we carry out a transaction on an Execution Only basis.

All of our Execution Only business is carried out through NBC Direct.
